Our creative team is compiled of local community members, each with their own unique background in performing arts! Director
Lyn Davis
Lyn is a beloved former English teacher and theater director at South Amboy High School, where she inspired generations of students with her love for the arts and her unwavering dedication to excellence. With over 30 years of directing experience, Lyn has also enriched the lives of South Amboy residents through the magic of theater, creating a legacy of memorable productions and cultivating a lifelong passion for the craft in her students and colleagues alike.
Known for her visionary leadership and creative expertise, Lyn approaches each production with meticulous attention to detail and an infectious enthusiasm that motivates everyone around her. She has directed a diverse repertoire of shows, always ensuring each production achieves the highest standard of artistic quality.
Lyn is deeply committed to fostering an environment where every cast and crew member feels valued, supported, and inspired to perform at their best. Her collaborative approach, combined with her ability to nurture talent and bring out the unique strengths of each individual, has earned her a stellar reputation among all who have the opportunity to work with her.

Kyle DeLucca
Kyle is a lifelong resident of South Amboy and a proud alumnus of South Amboy High School. He has been actively involved in community theater since 1995, consistently demonstrating his deep passion and commitment to the performing arts. His experience spans multiple facets of theater, from performance and directing to production coordination, making him a well-rounded and invaluable member of our organization.
Kyle graduated from Ramapo College in 2009 with a degree in Communications and a theater minor. Throughout his college career, he established himself as both a performer and a leader, earning featured roles in numerous productions and receiving several accolades for his work.
With over 20 years of experience in theater, Kyle has developed a broad skill set that extends far beyond the stage. As a director, his approach is both visionary and collaborative, guiding his teams with clarity and creativity. His deep understanding of storytelling, combined with his ability to inspire and unite cast members, makes him an indispensable asset to any production.
With his wealth of experience, dedication to excellence, and unwavering passion for the arts, Kyle continues to be a driving force in every project he’s involved in, leaving a lasting impact on both the audiences and the talented artists he works with.
Music Director
Marie Malara
Marie has been a cornerstone of the theater and arts community for decades, bringing her extraordinary talent, passion, and dedication to countless productions. A musician and educator, Marie taught music for an impressive 38 years, nurturing generations of students and instilling in them a deep appreciation for the arts. She has also been a professional French horn player since 1973, performing with distinction in a variety of settings and earning recognition as an accomplished and versatile musician.
Throughout her career, Marie has served as the Music Director for an extensive range of productions, working with dozens of theater companies across New Jersey and beyond. Her expertise spans genres and styles, from classic musicals to contemporary works, always bringing a level of professionalism and artistry that elevates every production she touches. Her ability to bring out the best in performers—both vocalists and instrumentalists alike—has earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and collaborators throughout the arts community.
Marie’s dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed. She was honored with the prestigious NJME Master Music Teacher award, a testament to her profound impact as an educator and her unwavering commitment to her craft. Even after decades of service, Marie remains actively involved in the musical theater and arts community. She continues to share her wealth of knowledge and experience, ensuring each production she works on achieves its fullest potential.
Choreographer
Laurie Guthrie
Heavily involved in theater for over 30 years, Laurie is a seasoned performer and choreographer whose contributions have made her a cherished member of the New Jersey community theater family. Laurie has graced the stages of numerous theater companies, including Sayreville Main Street Theatre, GB Productions, Union County Arts Center, and Surflight Theatre, to name just a few. Her dynamic presence, both on stage and behind the scenes, has earned her a reputation as a consummate professional and an invaluable creative force.
Laurie’s extensive performance and choreography credits span a diverse range of productions, showcasing her versatility and passion for the performing arts. Among her many achievements are her contributions to iconic shows such as A Chorus Line, Kiss Me Kate, Jerry’s Girls, Anything Goes, West Side Story, Gypsy, and Will Rogers Follies. Whether dazzling audiences with her stage presence or crafting captivating dance sequences, Laurie’s dedication to excellence shines through in every project she undertakes.
In addition to her artistic achievements, Laurie's collaborative spirit, commitment to fostering emerging talent, and ability to elevate every production she’s involved in have made her an indispensable part of the creative process.
Production Manager
Kaleigh DeLucca
Kaleigh is the backbone of our organization, turning the ideas and visions of our production staff into stunning realities. With over 15 years of experience in the theater, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise both on and off the stage. Kaleigh has performed in over 30 shows, showcasing her remarkable talent and versatility as an actor. Beyond her performance work, she has spent the last decade honing her skills in stage management, making her an indispensable part of any production.
Her unparalleled knowledge is matched by her dedication to bringing the best possible performances to life. Kaleigh understands the complexities and nuances of theatrical productions, from the smallest details backstage to the sweeping creative vision required to captivate an audience.
As the driving force behind the scenes, Kaleigh is a critical part of our team’s success. Her vision, dedication, and passion for the arts have helped shape our theater company into what it is today. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of our organization, where her leadership and creativity continue to elevate our productions and enrich our audiences’ experiences.

Camille Tooker
Camille caught the musical bug at the early age of just 6 years old, performing in her first ever show and has been hooked since! The only thing better than seeing a production is being cast in one! Camille appeared in The King and I, Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma, and South Amboy Community Theater's Production of Once Upon A Mattress. Camille was a former South Amboy Business Administrator before taking on multiple roles in municipality. She produced the 1st and subsequent South Amboy Seafood Festivals, started the Holiday Tree Lighting and headed the Emergency Vehicle Parade. She is currently the director of our partners, the South Amboy Arts Alliance, which expands artistic and cultural activities for South Amboy Residents. She is also Vice Chair of the South Amboy Redevelopment Agency and member of the South Amboy Municipal Alliance. We are honored she has entrusted us in bringing her vision of Musical Theatre in South Amboy to life!

Joan Conway
Joan has dedicated her career to arts education, shaping the creative journeys of countless students and educators alike. With a strong foundation in teaching, Joan’s passion for the arts and education propelled her into leadership roles within the Piscataway Public Schools, where she served as a teacher, arts coordinator, and ultimately as the District Director for Visual, Practical, and Performing Arts Departments. In this role, she oversaw a wide range of artistic disciplines, fostering a vibrant and inclusive arts education program that continues to impact the community.
Beyond her work in schools, Joan has made significant contributions at the state level. She held various leadership positions with the New Jersey Art Administrators Association, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Student Achievement Award Chair. Her efforts extended to collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Education on several critical initiatives, including the development of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and Assessment and Evaluation frameworks. Joan’s dedication to advancing arts education has left a lasting legacy, influencing both policy and practice across the state.

Jim Spinosa
Jim is a true asset to any theatre company. He has performed on stage for numerous productions, and has a wealth of experience in the technical aspects of theatre production. He is highly skilled in stage crew work, set design and construction, and the production of playbills. Jim is a reliable performer, and always works hard to ensure the production runs smoothly. He is a team player and has a great eye for detail. With his experience, enthusiasm and creative vision, Jim is an invaluable member of any theatre company.
Production Assistant
Noreen DeCarlo
Noreen has over 25 years of behind-the-scenes experience in NJ community theatre serving as stage manager and crew chief. She has worked with GB Productions in Old Bridge, Phoenix Productions in Red Bank, Sayreville Middle School and is thrilled to now bring her expertise to A Block off Broadway (ABOB) here in South Amboy. Noreen has worked as an administrative assistant at Rutgers University for the last 30 years. She looks forward to bringing her experience and passion for fostering a creative environment to ABOB. We are lucky to have her and her organizational skills as part of our team.
